Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARID4A antibody NBP1-26616 used for IP at 3 ug per reaction. ARID4A was also immunoprecipitated by another rabbit anti-ARID4A antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated ARID4A, NBP1-26616 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: Retinoblastoma binding protein 1

ARID4A (AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 4A) is also known as RbBP1 (retinoblastoma binding protein 1) and is a retinoblastoma binding protein and member of the AT-rich interaction domain (ARID) family of proteins. In addition to the ARID DNA binding domain, ARID4A also contains a chromo domain and a TUDOR domain, indicating a function in chromatin organization and protein-protein interactions with methylated protein substrates. ARID4A is implicated to be involved in chromatin remodeling and epigenetic modifications and to play a role in the pathogenesis of cancer.
