Description
This antibody can be stored at 2C to 8C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: SR-BI Antibody [NBP2-99690] - Immunofluorescence staining of SR-BI in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human SR-BI polyclonal antibody (1:5000) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG Secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to cell membrane and cytoplasm.Immunoprecipitation: SR-BI Antibody [NBP2-99690]
Immunoprecipitation: SR-BI Antibody [NBP2-99690] - SR-BI was immunoprecipitated using: Lane A: 0.5 mg Hela Whole Cell Lysate. Lane B: 0.5 mg HepG2 Whole Cell Lysate. 1 ul anti-SR-BI rabbit polyclonal antibody and 15 ul of 50 % Protein G agarose. Primary antibody: Anti-SR-BI rabbit polyclonal antibody, at 1:500 dilution. Secondary antibody: Dylight 800-labeled antibody to rabbit IgG (H+L), at 1:5000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 60 kDa. Background: SR-BI
At least 5 different human splice variants have been identified with theoretical molecular weights ranging from 60.9 kDa for the canonical sequence to 45 kDa for an N-terminally truncated variant (SR-BII) (3). The extracellular domain of human SR-BI (CLA-1) shares 80%, 80%, 89%, 86% and 84% aa sequence identity with mouse, rat, porcine, rabbit, and bovine SR-BI, respectively. SR-BI is highly glycosylated and removal of N-linked glycosylation reduces lipid transport.
