Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: Transferrin Antibody (TW4.20) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-81094]
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Transferrin Antibody (TW4.20) [NBP2-81094] - Immunofluorescence staining of fixed HepG2 cells with Transferrin Antibody (TW4.20) [NBP2-81094]. Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HpeG2 cells on Shi-fix coverslips, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton and stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of TW4.20 [NBP2-81094] at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1 ug/ml), showing diffuse cytoplasmic staining, likely from protein in trafficking vesicles. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP2-81094, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with an anti-Fluorescein antibody followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.Applications for Transferrin Antibody (TW4.20) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free

Application Notes
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. This antibody recognises transferrin a protein which can bind two Fe3+ ions in association with the binding of an anion, usually bicarbonate. It is responsible for the transport of iron from sites of absorption and heme degradation to those of storage and utilization. Serum transferrin may also have a further role in stimulating cell proliferation. This antibody can displace transferrin from the transferrin receptor.
