WB: Approx. 37 kDa band observed in human liver lysates (calculated MW of 39.7 kDa band according to NP_006756.2 and of 39.6 kDa band according to NP_839952.1). An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 22 kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: TUSC3

This gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene. It is located within a homozygously deleted region of a metastatic prostate cancer. The gene is expressed in most nonlymphoid human tissues including prostate, lung, liver, and colon. Expression was also detected in many epithelial tumor cell lines. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
