Product Summary for Wnt-5b Antibody [CoraFluor™ 1]

Immunogen

Antibody was raised against a 15 amino acid peptide near the center of human WNT5B. The immunogen is located within amino acids 130 - 180 of WNT5. Amino Acid Squence: CSRTARPKDLPRDWL

Specificity

WNT5 antibody will detect both WNT5A and WNT5B. At least two isoforms of WNT5B are known to exist; this antibody will detect both isoforms.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Host

Rabbit

Isotype

IgG

Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Background: Wnt-5b

The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteinshave been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate andpatterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It encodes a protein which shows 94%and 80% amino acid identity to the mouse Wnt5b protein and the human WNT5A protein, respectively. Alternative splicingof this gene generates 2 transcript variants. (provided by RefSeq)
