Predicted Molecular Mass

30.1 kDa.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Application Notes

Denatured protein is most likely not the best option for functional studies. It is better suited for Western Blot (WB) or imaging assays.

Specificity

Due to sequence identity this antibody will likely cross react with tryptase alpha/beta 1.

Background: Tryptase beta-2/TPSB2

Mast Cell Tryptase Protein, also known as tryptase alpha/beta-1, is a tryptase that is the major neutral protease present in mast cells and is secreted upon the coupled activation-degranulation response of this cell type. It is enzymatically active only as a heparin-stabilized tetramer, and it is resistant to all known an endogenous proteinase inhibitor. This protein has been implicated as mediators in the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic and inflammatory disorders. Recombinant human Mast Cell Tryptase Protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli.
