The slides included in this package are adjacent/serial sections of spleen tissue from one donor. Tissue was fixed in formalin immediately after excision and embedded in paraffin. This product can be used for both immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization. At least one of the tissue slides from each lot was stained with H&E to ensure the quality (not included in the package).

Samples are IRB-approved from consented donors. Documentation on tissues' clinical histories may be available upon request. Donor information is also available upon request. Please contact nb-technical@bio-techne.com for any questions or requests.

Background: Spleen

Tissue was fixed in formalin immediately after excision, and embedded in paraffin. This Paraffin embedded tissue products, including tissue array, tissue sections, and tissue panels can be used for both immune-histochemistry and in situ hybridization. These products are ideal for rapid cellular localization of RNA and protein expression. At least one of the tissue slides from each lot was stained with H & E to ensure the quality. The details of the description of each product line are as follows: Paraffin Tissue Slide Tissue sections are 5 um in thickness, and mounted on positively charged glass slides. Human Tumor Paraffin Tissue Slide Matched Pair (PP/PM). Human paraffin tissue section matched pair products include: Primary Pair (PP), Primary and metastatic Pair (PM). PP consists of paraffin tissue sections of primary tumor and its adjacent normal tissue; PM consists of paraffin tissue sections of primary tumor and corresponding metastatic tumor. Paraffin tissue sections in each pair are prepared from the same donor. This product line is ideal for localization of tumor-specific genes and tumor metastatic genes. Tissue sections are 5 um in thickness, and mounted on positively charged glass slide Paraffin Tissue Panel. The panel contains 5 to 8 different tissues on one slide. Tissue panels are 5 um in thickness, and mounted on positively charged glass slides. Paraffin Tissue Array FDA Standard Tissue Array. Tissue arrays are 6 um in thickness, and mounted on positively charged glass slides. Each tissue sample is about 1.5 mm in diameter. A reference chart shows all the tissue names and their respective position on the array.
