Aminopeptidase LRAP/ERAP2: Lysates

Leukocyte-derived arginine aminopeptidase (LRAP) and endoplasmic reticulum-aminopeptidase 2 (ERAP2) are the two names given to the protein encoded by the LRAP gene. Induced by interferon-gamma, LRAP is able to trim various MHC class I antigenic peptide precursors. It belongs to the oxytocinase subfamily of M1 aminopeptidases, which also includes aminopeptidases PILS/ARTS1/ERAP1 and LNPEP/PLAP. In addition to antigen presentation, the members of the LRAP aminopeptidase subfamily are also important in maintenance of pregnancy, memory retention, and blood pressure regulation.
