CDCP1: Proteins and Enzymes
CDCP1 (Cub Domain-containing Protein 1), also known as SIMA135, is a transmembrane protein that is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and colon. CDCP1 expression has been observed in metastatic colon and breast cancers. Exclusive expression of CDCP1 in hematopoietic, mesenchymal, and neural stem/progenitor cells suggests that it can be a useful marker for these cell types.
