CKAP2: Lysates

CKAP2 (cytoskeletal-associated protein 2), also known as TMAP (tumor-associated microtubule-associated protein), was identified as an mRNA up-regulated in primary human gastric cancers. It was found to localize to microtubule organizing centers and microtubules and play a role in cell division. CKAP2 is required for proper chromosome segregation and the maintenance of genomic stability. It has recently been shown to be a substrate of Cdk1-cyclinB and essential for bipolar spindle formation.
