DIAPH-2: Proteins and Enzymes
DIAPH-2 (diaphenous homolog 2), also called DRF2 (diaphanous-related formin 2), is an 1101 amino acid (aa), 126 kDa (calculated) cytoplasmic protein in the Diaphenous family of actin binding proteins. Disruption of DIAPH-2 has been correlated with premature ovarian failure in humans. A 1097 aa isoform called hDia2C, specifically binds RhoD and restricts movement of early endosomes along actin filaments.
