EZFIT: Proteins and Enzymes
EZFIT (Endothelial Zinc Finger Protein Induced by TNF-alpha) is a member of the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc finger protein family of DNA binding molecules. It is an intracellular protein that contains thirteen Cys/His-based zinc fingers. Each zinc finger is 22 amino acids in size and binds one zinc ion. Zinc finger motifs are interconnected by highly conserved peptide motifs called Kruppel-links. Each Kruppel-link helps align zinc finger domains in the major groove of a DNA helix.
