FoxN1: Proteins and Enzymes
Forkhead box N1 (FoxN1) is a 69 kDa transcriptional regulator that is primarily expressed in thymic epithelial cells and keratinocytes. FoxN1 function is required for proper T cell, hair follicle, and nail differentiation. Mutations in FoxN1 result in severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID/Nude). FoxN1 contains one DNA-binding forkhead domain.
