KLF9: Proteins and Enzymes
KLF9 is a gene that codes for a transcription factor that activates mRNA synthesis on a selective basis from genes that only contain tandem repeats of GC boxes, otherwise the gene will be suppressed, and it has a length of 244 amino acids, and amass of approximately 27 kDa. Studies have been conducted on diseases and disorders relating to this gene, including Kabuki syndrome, otosclerosis, leiomyoma, colorectal cancer, carcinoma, glioblastoma, cholesterol, thyroiditis, and leukemia. KLF9 has also been shown to have interactions with PGR, SP1, SIN3A, HDAC7, and ELAV1 in pathways such as the diurnally regulated gene pathway.
