LAR: Proteins and Enzymes

LAR tyrosine phosphatase, also known as PTPRF (protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor-type F), is an integral membrane protein with a non-glycosylated molecular weight of 207 kDa. A subtilisin-like endoprotease may cleave near the cell membrane to create a 139 kDa extracellular domain that may remain associated with the rest of the molecule or be shed into the extracellular medium, depending on cellular conditions.
