MARCKS: Proteins and Enzymes

MARCKS is an intracellular protein that belongs to the MARCKS family of molecules. It is an actin-organizing molecule and a key substrate for activated protein kinase C (PKC) and PKC-related kinase following integrin ligation. Phosphorylation of MARCKS results in its translocation from the inner face of the plasma membrane to the cytosol.
