Prohibitin: Lysates

Prohibitin is a multifunctional member of the prohibitin family of intracellular proteins. It contains an N- and C-terminal alpha-helix/beta-strand region that flanks a central coiled-coil domain. PHB is found to travel between many compartments. It is suggested to be a cytoplasmic-side cell-membrane receptor, a component of an inner mitochondrial membrane complex, and a nuclear repressor of E2F-mediated transcription. Mouse and rat PHB are 99% aa identical to human PHB
