PSCA (prostate stem cell antigen) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface protein of the Thy-1/Ly-6 family. PSCA is expressed in differentiating cells and epithelial cells of the prostate, bladder, kidney, skin, esophagus, stomach and placenta. It may be up- or down-regulated in cancer and may promote or suppress the tumor, depending on location.
