Ribosomal Protein L17: Lysates
Ribosomal Protein L17 (RP-L17) is a 132 amino acid (aa), 23 kDa component of the ribosomal large subunit, and is the mammalian ortholog of the bacterial protein, L22. It is located at the ribosomal surface near the exit tunnel. Its position shifts upon translation of a transmembrane sequence, presumably aiding folding. The portion of human RP-L17 expressed as an immunogen shares greater than 99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat RP-L17.
