SH2D2A: Lysates
SH2 Domain-containing Protein 2A (SH2D2A), also known as RIBP, TSAd, VRAP, or LAD, is an intracellular adaptor protein that contains both SH2 and SH3-binding domains. Human SH2D2A is a 389 amino acid (aa) protein with a predicted molecular mass of 43 kDa. The mouse and rat orthologs, RIBP/SH2D2A, share 71% and 67% aa sequence identity, respectively. Three human and two mouse isoforms have also been identified. SH2D2A is thought to mediate T cell activation in mouse and human. It has also been shown to interact with Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (VEGF R2) in humans. Polymorphisms in the SH2D2A gene are associated with an increased susceptibility to multiple sclerosis.
