SRPK3: Small Molecules and Peptides
SRPK3 (Ser/Arg-rich protein specific kinase 3), also called MSSK-1 (muscle-specific serine kinase 1) or STK23 (Ser/Thr kinase 23) is a 59 kDa (predicted) cytoplasmic member of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family. SRPK3 is principally expressed in heart and skeletal muscle. SRPKs selectively phosphorylate Ser on RS domain-containing proteins, initiating mRNA splicing and maturation.
