TSPAN15: Proteins and Enzymes
TSPAN15 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. The tetraspans are components of large molecular complexes that also include non-tetraspan molecules, in particular integrins. Most of these members, including TSPAN15, are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. TSPAN15 is highly expressed in the Olfactory Bulb. Tetraspans mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility.
