UBE2J2: Lysates
Ubiquitin-conjugating Enzyme E2, J2 (UBE2J2) is a 259 amino acid (aa) member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating (E2) enzyme family with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 29 kDa. The human protein shares 100% aa sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs. UBE2J2 has an E2 catalytic core domain with an active site cysteine residue that is required for the formation of a thioester bond with Ubiquitin. This enzyme has been reported to be involved in the ER-associated degradation pathway. UBE2J2 has also been shown to interact with the mK3 Ubiquitin ligase (E3) and promote the ubiquitination of hydroxylated residues on major histocompatibility complex class I heavy chains.
