Background: Caspase-11

Caspase-11 (also known as CASP11, CASP4, and ich-3) is one of several different types of caspases. The general role of caspases is to assist in cell death as well as inflammation. More specifically, caspase-11 is involved with pyroptotic cell death. Its structure is heterotrimeric, consisting of two antiparallel heterodimers. Novus offers Caspase 11 antibodies, Peptides and Proteins, Lysates, and RNAi.

Alternate Names

CASP11, CASP-11, CASP4, CASP-4, caspase 4, apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase, Caspl, ich-3

Gene Symbol

Casp4
