Scientific Data Images for Human 5-HT7 Antibody

Detection of 5-HT7 antibody in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human 5-HT7 and eGFP antibody by Flow Cytometry.

Detection of 5-HT7 in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human 5-HT7 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry.

HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with human 5-HT7 and eGFP was stained with (A) Mouse Anti-Human 5-HT7 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10325) or (B) isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB0041) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). 5-HT7 antibody in Human Brain (Hypothalamus) by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P).

5-HT7 in Human Brain (Hypothalamus).

5-HT7 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human brain (hypothalamus) using Mouse Anti-Human 5-HT7 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10325) at 5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell membrane and cytoplasm in neurons. Background: 5-HT7

HTR2B is a G-protein coupled receptor for serotonin. The 5HT2 receptors mediate many of the central and peripheral physiologic functions of serotonin. 5HT2B plays a role in the regulation of dopamine and serotonin release, serotonin uptake and in the regulation of extracellular dopamine and serotonin levels.  It also plays a role in pulmonary vasoconstriction and regulating cardiac structure and functions.  5HT2B receptors were shown to be expressed in human failing heart and have been strongly implicated in drug induced valvular heart disease.
