Protein Array: Mena Antibody (ENAH/1988) - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-79887]

Protein Array: Mena Antibody (ENAH/1988) - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-79887] - Analysis of Protein Array containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using Mena Antibody (ENAH/1988) Z- and S- Score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that a monoclonal antibody (Monoclonal Antibody) (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary antibody) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt(TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If targets on HuProt(TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-score. S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of a Monoclonal Antibody to its intended target. A Monoclonal Antibody is considered to specific to its intended target, if the Monoclonal Antibody has an S-score of at least 2.5

Background: Mena

ENAH/MENA belongs to the Ena/vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) family of proteins which play a role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton for the control of cell shape and movement. The Ena/VASP family of actin binding proteins includes ENAH/MENA which is the human homolog of drosophila Ena (enabled), VASP, and EVL (Ena/vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein-like protein). Ena/VASP proteins contain an EVH1 domain, a central proline-rich domain, and a terminal EVH2 domain. ENAH/MENA is not expressed in normal breast but has been detected and associated with breast lesions with a high risk of transformation and primary and metastatic breast cancer.
