Amphiphysin/AMPH: Lysates
Amphyphisin (AMPH) is a 125 kDa synaptic vesicle-associated protein that regulates the release of vesicle contents from excitable cells. Amphiphysin is expressed in neuroendocrine cells, neurons, and spermatocytes, where it binds Dynamin, alpha-Adaptin, Src kinases, FAK, Cdk5 and Synaptojamin. Amphiphysin can be phosphorylated at multiple sites in response to cell stimulation. It is also involved in actin polymerization during phagocytosis, spermatid release from Sertoli cells, and neurite outgrowth. Amphiphysin contains one BAR domain (aa 24 - 240) and one SH3 domain (aa 622 - 695).
