APC: Lysates

APC is a ubiquitous, tumor-suppressor protein. APC mutations are common in most colon cancers, generally resulting in a gene product that is truncated in the carboxy terminal region. APC contains several binding domains, including an EB1, DLG (PDZ sequence) and PSD-93 domain that bind to cytoskeletal elements. In addition to beta-catenin degradation, APC is involved in cell cycle, division and migration.
