BIN3: Proteins and Enzymes
BIN3, also known as Bridging integrator 3, is a 253 amino acid protein that plays a role in cell membrane shape and structure through interaction with GTPases, and members of the BAR domain protein family have been shown to be involved in processes such as intracellular transport and endocytosis. This protein is currently being studied for research on the following diseases and disorders, ornithosis, pancreatic cancer, and pancreatitis. Interactions with the BIN3 protein have been shown to involve DNMBP, GRPEL1, VDAC3, POR, and RAD23B, CAP2B, and ERH in cell cycle, actin filament organization, cytokinesis, protein localization, and barrier septum assembly pathways.
