GLP-1R: cDNA Clones

GLP-1 R (Glucagon-like Peptide 1 Receptor) is a class B, G protein-linked, seven transmembrane domain protein that is expressed in pancreas, lung, heart, kidney, hypothalamus, and stomach. It is a receptor for Glucagon-like Peptide, a regulator of insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells. Drugs that target GLP-1 R are of great interest for diabetes related research. Known agonists for GLP-1 R include GLP-1, Boc5, and Cpd1. Following experiments in mouse models, GLP-1 R agonists may also useful in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction.
