HLA DQA2: Lysates

The HLA-DQA2 gene encodes a 255 amino acid long, 28 kDA HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DQ alpha 2 chain that functions in the peptide loading of MHC class II molecules. It does so by releasing the CLIP molecule from the peptide binding site. The HLA-DQA2 gene participates in cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), antigen processing and presentation, transport of MHC II:Ii complex along Golgi to TGN, the CDC42 pathway, and in G-protein signaling in N-RAS regulation pathways. It is known to interact with genes CD4 and HLA-DQB1. HLA-DQA2 is linked to osteoarthritis, celiac disease, diabetes, asthma, thyroiditis, childhood type dermatomyositis, graft vs. host disease, narcolepsy, and lupus.
