ICAT: Lysates

Human ICAT is a physiological inhibitor of the beta-catenin/Wnt signaling pathway that is found in both cytosol and nucleus. The molecule contains two domains, an alpha-helical N-terminal region, and an acidic, extended C-terminal region. The alpha-helical region binds to beta-Catenin, displacing CBP/p300, while the acidic C-terminus blocks Tcf interaction. Human ICAT is 97% aa identical to both mouse and bovine ICAT.
