OR1L8, also known as Olfactory receptor 1L8, is a 35.1 kDa, 309 amino acid protein that is involved in recognition and transduction of olfactory signals in order to initiate the perception of smell. Diseases such as neuronitis are being researched with this protein. The protein interacts in GPCR downstream signaling and olfactory transduction pathways with GNAL, OR4D11, OR52E6, GNGT1, and OR10A3.
