PDGF-C: Proteins and Enzymes
Platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C), also known as SCDGF and follotain, plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, mesenchymal cell proliferation, migration, and survival. It is required for skeleton formation, skin morphogenesis, angiogenesis, blood vessel development, and fibrotic processes. PDGF-C forms disulfide-linked dimers which signal through PDGF R alpha homodimeric receptors and PDGF R alpha/beta heterodimeric receptors.
