SH2D1A: Proteins and Enzymes

SH2D1A (SH2 domain-containing protein 1A, also called DSHP (Duncan disease SH2 protein) or SAP (SLAM-associated protein), is a 128 amino acid (aa), 15 kDa cytoplasmic protein in lymphocytes. SH2D1A contains one SH2 domain (aa 6-104) that binds to, and alters the signaling of, SLAM family receptors. X-linked lymphoproliferative syndrome type 1 (XLP1), also known as Duncan disease, is caused by SH2D1A mutations.
