Adrenomedullin R/ADMR: Proteins and Enzymes

Adrenomedullin (AM) is a potent vasodilator peptide that exerts major effects on cardiovascular function. ADMR is a seven-transmembrane protein that belongs to the family 1 of G protein coupled-receptors. ADMR is highly expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, immune system, adrenal gland and liver. ADMR mediates the stimulatory effects of AM on cancer cells and on endothelial and stellate cells within the tumor microenvironment. These data support the further development of ADMR as a useful target treatment of pancreatic cancer.
