Simple Western Capillary Immunoassays: A Game Changer in Elucidating Intracellular Signaling in Alzheimer’s Disease

Presented by:
Scott Schachtele, PhD, Product Manager - Neuroscience, FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics
Charles Haitjema, PhD, Senior Research Area Manager, Bio-Techne

Simple Western™  Technology is a well-established capillary immunoassay that bridges the gap between ELISA and Western blot, combining protein size characterization and analytical grade quantification without matrix effects, from just 3 µL of sample. Learn how we used Simple Western to study TREM2 signaling in a model for Alzheimer’s disease.

Monday | October 7th | 2:30 - 3:00 PM
Location: Exhibit Hall, Aisle 900, Product Theater #1

Investigating  Hallmarks of Senescence in the Aging Brain using a Novel RNA-Protein Multiomic Co-Detection Assay

Session Title: Aging: Molecular and Cellular Changes
Session Category: Nanosymposium
Presentation # NANO58.09 | Abstract 5114

Presented by:
Debia Wakhloo, PhD, Application Scientist, Bio-Techne

Assessing the aging brain requires a multiomic strategy to identify unique aging-associated markers and their interactions within the hippocampus. Using single-cell spatial Multiomic LS RNAscope™ technology, we simultaneously visualized gene and protein expression in situ through an automated workflow. This enabled the identification of specific cell types, RNA biomarkers, and provided insights into neurogenesis and senescence in mice. Learn how this novel assay allows for accurate interrogation of complex tissues like the brain, offering valuable insights into novel prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers in neurodegenerative disorders.
